Prayer
Some children from Margaret Roper Primary in Purley wrote prayers for the Catholic Children's Society Good Shepherd Celebration in Aylesford. Joe's prayer was chosen to be read out at the event.
At the Catholic Children's Society, we promise to give aid and ensure the health and well-being of children and vulnerable adults. We promise to help families to live a better life and to meet the needs of every individual child.
Click on the picture to read some of the other prayers that were written.
Corpus Christi Raffle
Corpus Christi Primary School in New Malden had an
eggs-cellent idea for raising money for the Good Shepherd Appeal. They held an Easter Egg raffle. Tickets cost 20p each and there were over 40 Easter eggs to win including Smarties, Cream Egg and Malteasers. What an eggs-ceptional fundraising school!
Catholic Children's Society Leaflet
Victoria from Coulsdon emailed me this fabulous leaflet all about the Catholic Children's Society. She had been asked at school to produce a leaflet about any charity for a homework project and she chose the Catholic Children's Society.
Well done Victoria, I give you an A*!
St Bede's Valentine's Show
Year 7 pupils at St Bede's School in Redhill raised money for the Catholic Children's Society by putting on a talent show. The show opened with three girls singing Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love' and continued with singing, acting and dance acts before ending with a performance of 'Holding Out for a Hero' from the film 'Footloose' which included singing, dance and gymnastics. The show was enjoyed by performers and audience alike and nearly £40 was raised for the Catholic Children's Society. Well done St Bede's!
Your messages
Hello Sam,
My name is Laura. I love what the society is doing for some children here in the UK. Even though I am only 11 and not noticed much, I still care lots about children in hard situations. A lady called Ann Hoggan from your society came to our school and gave us this website. I have enjoyed it very much and hope you make further progress with helping children.

Dear Sam
The tooth fairy came last night and gave me £1 for my wobbly tooth that finally came out! I put the money in my fruit baa baa box to help a child who is not as lucky as me.

Dear Sam
I think the Catholic Children's Society is a really good idea and my school are supporting it. We did a table top sale and raised £76.56 for the Catholic Children's Society and we heard a story about a boy called John who you have helped have a better life. Thank you for helping many children who do not have as good a life as I do.
From Jake.
